I don't know if I have one all-time favorite historical fiction book. My most favorite recent read though is The Heretic Queen by Michelle Moran.

I love the OUTLANDER series but my favorite historical of all time is probably THE SUNNE IN SPLENDOUR by Sharon Kay Penman.

My favorite HF novel is A Place Beyond Courage by Elizabeth Chadwick, but it's hard to choose just one. I've liked all of her novels, and also everything that Sharon Kay Penman has written. Like others, I've become a bit "Tudored" out, but this novel about Catherine Howard sounds like a new slant on a much maligned queen.

Well, my all time favorite is The Count of Monte Cristo. But I am finding new favorites all the time, like Mistress of the Revolution and The Seamstress.
