Completed- The PUB Challenge - 2009
This was an easy challenge for me because of all the ARC's I read.
Here are the 9 2009 books I read for the challenge:
1.Still I Rise by Roland Laird with Tanesha Nash Laird, Illustrated by Elihu "Adofo" Bey
2.The Kingmaking By Helen Hollick
3.Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly
4. King's Fool: A Notorious King, His Six Wives, and the One Man Who Knew Their Secrets by Margaret Campbell Barnes
5.Bark Up the Right Tree by Jessie & Ruth Tschudin
6.Signora da Vinci by Robin Maxwell
7. The Help By Kathryn Stockett
8.The Lieutenantby Kate Grenville
9.The Brightest Moon of the Century by Christopher Meeks

Congrats, Teddy! I just now put up a complete post for the Pub Challenge and entered your name and link.
I should be reading The Help soon. I'm looking forward to it!

Which was your favourite? I want to make sure I've read all the best books of 2009. The only one from your list which I'm planning to read is The Help. Should I make sure I read any of the others?

Yeah! Congrats Teddy! I didn't read a single one of the books you read LOL but you sure had some interesting ones there. I used to read Margaret Campbell Barnes way back in the old days. Actually it was in one of her books that I first found my own name in print. I think it was one of Anne Bolyn's maids-in-waiting named "Nicola" and I was tickled to find another Nicola. Of course I was only 12 or so at the time but the memory remains.

Michelle, thanks! I think you will enjoy The Help!
Jackie, these were all outstanding books except for one. The Kingmaking By Helen Hollick, Galway Bay by Mary Pat Kelly, King's Fool: A Notorious King, His Six Wives, and the One Man Who Knew Their Secrets by Margaret Campbell Barnes, Signora da Vinci by Robin Maxwell, The Help By Kathryn Stockett were all great historical fiction.
The Brightest Moon of the Century wasn't historical fiction but it was so intellegently witty and fun. I wouldn't have wanted to miss any of these. Sorry I can't narrow it down more!
Thanks Lezlie, Nicola, Kathy, and Beth!
Nicola, I have never seen my name in print, Teddy is my nick name. This was my first experience with Margaret Campbell Barnes. However, I just received The Tudor Rose from Source Books today. I am looking forward to it.
