This has been on my TBR since I heard it was being published. I know it hasn't lived up to expectations but I want to complete the series.
This book is available on Smashwords for $3.99 U.S. All of the proceeds are going to Disaster Relief and our own Susan Helene Gottfried has a story in it. The only problem, it's totally un-readable! The words are layered on top of words, in the epub format. I wrote to Smashwords last Tuesday about it and they have not gotten back to me! I wrote to them again today. I'll keep you posted. I obviously won't be buying anything else from them if they don't respond!

The Peach Keeper looks and sounds so good. Congrats on your work accomplishments and happy reading!

Oooh, the perfect gift for a book lover :) The Peach Keeper is on my wish list (love all her books). Hope you enjoy it and the other books in your mailbox.
Does Susan know about the layered words issue? She might be able to contact someone and get a response. Or perhaps they had Monday off (after Easter)? Hope you get a satisfactory resolution.

Someone at my book club was talking about The Land of Painted Caves last week. I hope you love it!

My mom read The land Of Painted Caves and loved it. She loved the whole series. I have The Peach keeper also. I hope you get a response about the layered words. That is frustrating. I hope you enjoy all of your treasures.

I know what you mean, you start a series and you just have to finish. Hope this turns out better than you are expecting.

Mary, I haven't read any of her other books. I'm going to let Susan know, thanks.

Kathy, So far I have heard that it pretty much goes over what the other books were and then has the ending everyone has expected.

Beth, I have enjoyed the series too. My favorite was the very first book, 'Clan of the Cave Bears.' Thanks!

Heather, there are many series that I have started but haven't finished, for various reasons. However, I am determined to finish this one.

Sarah Addison Allen's books are perfect comfort reads! Enjoy.

Marg, I could go for a comfort read about now. I tend to read such heavy stuff. I just started The Chorus Girls last night. I realized I forgot to mention I got that as well. I'll have to post it next Monday.

The Peach Keeper is ... oh! I really have to get it on my book-buying ... OH! I have some B & N credit ... I'm going to use that today to get this title and "Cutting for Stone". I haven't read the Auel series, but I've read that it's wonderful (except, for some reason, this one), but, like you, if I'd read the series, I'd want the last book, too! Enjoy your reading week!
