Dewey's Knit-a-long
Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn’t hurt the untroubled spirit, either. ~Elizabeth ZimmermanI just joined Dewey's Knit-a-long as part of the Dewey Reading Challenge. I'm not actually doing the reading challenge and was looking for another way to honour Dewey.
I am going to be knitting a shawl for a friend of a friend. We met for coffee a couple of times and I, as always, took out my knitting. She fell in love with the stuff I was working on. I offered to teach her to knit and she declined. I know that she can't afford the yarn and I love to knitt for others.
I will give updates on my progress.
Do you knit or crochet or do some other craft. Come join in the fun! Sign up here.

I can only knit mufflers, Other suff, I can't!
BTW, I have tagged you:
I have been lazy, hence I make excuses"

I'm so glad you're joining us for this Knit-A-Long inspired by Dewey's love of knitting! I love your idea of making the shawl for a friend of a friend. Happy knitting!

Thanks for the tag Gautami. I bet you could knit other stuff if you wanted to.
Thanks for the award Kathrin!
Thanks Robin. It will be fun to watch everyone's progress.
Kristy, Dewey's Knit-a-long would be a great time to learn. It's so soothing once you get the hang of it!

Sadly, I no longer knit since I only ever managed to knit blogs when I tried.

How nice of you to knit a shawl for your friend! And thanks for letting me know you're a vegan-I'll definitely come to you if I have any questions. So far, the transition has been a lot easier than I expected. :D

Eva, I'm so glad the transition is going well for you. Like most people, cheese was the hardest thing for me to give up but now there are some pretty good vegan cheeses in the market place. I also love the Un-cheese Cookbook. If you don't know it, it has recipes to make your own vegan cheese substitutes.
